  • How do I make a reservation?
    PARTY DECOR Decor rentals are 3-4 night rentals (no DO/PU on weekends). Each rental follows the same basic steps: Choose your party theme & package Choose your add-ons Fill out our Event Rental Request form to initiate the booking process ***Your rental is *not* complete until we receive payment! We will be in touch to: Say hi! Confirm availability Go over questions you may have Collect payment to secure your rental Delivery > Celebration! > Pickup YARD GAMES ONLY Yard games-only rentals are 1-night rentals. Each rental follows these basic steps: Choose your games (3-game min) Choose your add-ons Fill out our Yard Game Rental Request form to initiate the booking process ***Your rental is *not* complete until we receive payment! We will be in touch to: Say hi! Confirm availability, pickup/drop-off times Go over questions you may have Collect payment to secure your rental Event day!
  • How do I pay and are there any other fees I should know about?
    Once you submit an event request form (and we confirm availability), we will send a payment link via email. We require 100% payment up front to secure your booking (but offer time-dependent refund options. See cancellations/rescheduling tab for more info). We only accept payment through Stripe. Tips are, of course, accepted as cash or apps employees may have. Additional fees: If supplies are not ready when we arrive for pick up, we charge a fee of $50 plus the initial delivery fee for having to make a return trip. See Damage tab below for damage-related fees. See cancellation & rescheduling policies below.
  • How does delivery/pickup work?
    ​PARTY DECOR At this time, we offer delivery/pickup only (no self-pick up or drop-off). Decor rentals are 3-night rentals. Delivery & pickup are available Monday-Friday only. If the end of your 3-day rental is on a Saturday or Sunday, we will pick up items on Monday evening. A 3-hour delivery window will be given 1 week in advance. If you are not home when we deliver, items will be left on your doorstep. A 3-hour pickup window will be given 1 week in advance. If you are not home during our pickup window, items should be left back on your doorstep for us to grab. In general, delivery/pickup windows are within the following time frames each day: Monday-Wednesday: 5 PM - 9 PM Thursday-Friday 8 AM - 6 PM Decor items will be delivered in an enclosed container unless oversized. The size of the container depends on your rental choice! YARD GAMES-ONLY We offer pick up or delivery Yard games-only rentals are 1-night rentals. Delivery & pickup are available every day of the week. In general, pickup windows are within the following time frames each day: Monday-Wednesday: 5 PM - 9 PM Thursday-Friday 8 AM - 12 PM Saturday-Sunday 9 AM - 11 AM I ask that you choose a 30-minute time window within these time frames if you are picking up.
  • Do you offer setup?
    We do not offer setup at this time. For ease of setup, items will be color-coded so you know exactly what each item is intended for and so you can more easily keep track of all TWC items for return. You will also be given specific, step-by-step instructions about how to set up your decor (mainly how to make your tablescape look nice 😀). Some add-ons might require a bit of additional instruction. If you rent yard games, each game comes with laminated rules.
  • Can I reschedule or cancel?
    We require 100% payment up front, BUT: 61+ days before your event, you may cancel your rental and receive a 75% refund. Or, you may reschedule your rental for a date within 1 year of your original rental date. You may choose another rental option, but no more than 75% of your payment will be refunded if the alternative rental is less than the portion that is non-refundable. You will be sent a voucher if you choose to reschedule. We ask that you do not pick a new date at total random to give us the best chance of fulfilling others’ 1st choice dates! If you do not reschedule within 1 year of your original date, you will need to make a completely new reservation. 15-60 days before your event, you may cancel your rental for a 50% refund. Or, you may reschedule your rental for a date within 1 year of your original rental date. You may choose another rental option, but no more than 50% of your payment will be refunded if the alternative rental is less than the portion that is non-refundable. You will be sent a voucher if you choose to reschedule. We ask that you do not pick a new date at total random to give us the best chance of fulfilling others’ 1st choice dates! If you do not reschedule within 1 year of your original date, you will need to make a completely new reservation. 14 or less days before your event, cancellations will result in the loss of your entire payment. Or, you may reschedule your rental for a date within 1 year for a $50 rescheduling fee. You will be sent a voucher if you choose to reschedule. We ask that you do not pick a new date at total random to give us the best chance of fulfilling others’ 1st choice dates! If you do not reschedule within 1 year of your original date, you will need to make a completely new reservation.
  • What happens if I damage an item?
    We are a team in making these items last as long as they possibly can to actually fulfill our goal of reducing waste, so we ask that you take special care of all of our items. We understand that paper will rip, tablecloths will tear, runners will get stained – we’re talking about kids’ parties here! However, excluding normal wear & tear, you are responsible for any damage to our items. Luckily, most of our items are very affordable and no damage should be a huge cost to you. Damage may include deep cleaning needs, repair (including labor) or the total replacement of the item(s) if it cannot be restored or repaired. Please report/photograph any damages to the items upon discovery! TWC also keeps photographic documentation of damages. Items are inspected within 24 hours of the rental end date. We will contact you for any collections afterward.
  • How far in advance can I book?
    6 months!
  • Do you customize/take requests?
    If there is something you’d love at your event and we can make business sense of acquiring it/making it happen (and have enough time), we will 100% be up for customizing your event. Additional fees may apply. If you'd like to add a pop of a specific color to your party (like pink), please ask. There is a spot to make requests at the bottom of our event request form!
  • Are your rentals just for kids?
    Most of our themes are fit for kids' birthdays or baby showers, but if there’s a theme you see for your adult celebration, more power to you!
  • Will the event items look exactly like the photos?
    Many (not all) of our items are either hand-made/refurbished or on their second life when acquired, so rentals may look slightly different than the photos. (I.e. if supplies are broken or we're expanding our fleet we don't necessarily (re)order the same ones, we try to find it used or make more ourselves!) Each theme & package is uniquely designed with aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability in mind. We believe this gives our rentals an artistic and complete look we and you can feel great about!   • I see you mention decor "donation" throughout your website. How does this work?
    The Wander Center was born from a passion for the environment AND know how important it is to enjoy life as well (i.e. celebrate!!). We aim to do things a little differently by acquiring items second-hand (no this is not a fast process!) and promoting circularity in our lives and communities. So, we offer an option to "donate" items and event supplies to our company for a discount on your event rental. Please see guidelines for this option under the Decor Donation tab (under "More!").
  • Why aren't balloons included in your packages?
    At TWC, we're all about celebrating BIG while keeping our planet in mind. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we’ve chosen not to include balloons in our packages. While they can be festive, balloons often end up as harmful waste in landfills and natural habitats. Instead, we offer balloon alternatives that bring a similar wow-factor without the environmental impact. If you'd like balloons at your party, please plan to purchase them separately! No judgement!
